A futsal club with five age groups has five squads in flux, five calendars that clash, dozens of half-finished athlete records and a treasurer chasing fees. None of this is hard in itself — it is hard because it is scattered. When information lives in separate files, nobody knows for certain who is registered, who is injured and who has paid, and answering any simple question means opening four places at once.

Set up the club's sporting structure once — sport, age group, gender, category — and every season inherits it. A team keeps its configuration year on year; what changes is the season record.

Each athlete has a single record with personal details, guardians, position, shirt number and status. Enrolment links them to the season's team, and their history follows them up through the age groups.

Training and match calendar

Training, matches and competitions on one calendar, per team and across the club. Attendance marked courtside on a phone, without waiting until you get home.

Call-ups that confirm themselves

Call up the squad and each recipient — athlete, guardian or both — gets a link to confirm attendance, transport and meals. The replies come back counted on the match record.

Match sheet and league table

Starting line-up, events, result and competition standings, with fixtures generated per phase. Your result reaches the table without being typed twice.

Pre-filled registration paperwork

The sport is not a label in Cantera: it is an entity. Age groups, categories, positions and match event types are club-owned, editable catalogues that belong to the sport. That is what lets futsal be right down to the detail today and handball or basketball fit tomorrow without rewriting the platform.

The vocabulary is yours
Age groups, categories, positions, event types and staff roles are lists the club edits. If your club calls two teams in the same age group A and B, that is how they appear.
A season is a season
Each team gets one record per season, with its own dates and objectives. Rolling athletes and staff over to the next year is an action, not a copy-and-paste job.
It works courtside
Cantera runs in the browser and installs as an app on the team manager's phone or tablet. Attendance, call-ups and match recording were designed for thumbs, not for a mouse.
Permissions per person
The coach sees their teams, the office sees registrations, the board sees the accounts. Permission groups per club, with per-user exceptions where they are needed.

No. Cantera runs in the browser and installs as an app (PWA) on a phone or tablet, which is what you want for marking attendance or recording a match courtside. There is nothing to install on a club computer.

As many as the club has. There are no price tiers by size and no per-user charges: the club pays one price and everyone who needs to work in the platform has access, with whatever permissions you give them.

Athlete records, squads and members are the usual starting point, and we help load them at the outset. From then on the information is maintained in the platform rather than in parallel files — which is where half the problem lives.

Yes. The club is the data controller and Cantera is the processor. There is a full export at any time — a ZIP with one file per table plus readable summaries — and closing the account deletes everything permanently, with thirty days' notice.
