Training planning software
From the season's annual plan to Tuesday's session, in one tool and with the same drills. Cantera gives the coach the planning they already do on paper — periods, mesocycles, microcycles, session phases — without asking them to change how they think about training.

The season plan and today's session should not live in different files
The annual plan is in a spreadsheet, the drills are in a PDF someone drew three seasons ago, the session plan is in a notebook and attendance is on a sheet that gets wet. Each of those files is correct; the problem is that none of them knows the others exist, so nobody can say whether what was trained in November was what had been planned.
From the macro cycle to the microcycle, and from there to the drill
Planning and delivery on one platform, joined by the date — the only thing they genuinely share.
Sessions built in phases
Warm-up, main phase and cool-down, plus the team talk. Each drill carries its own duration, and the minutes per phase are summed from the drills rather than typed in.
Drill library
The club's drills in folders, each with a diagram drawn in a dedicated editor. Adding a drill to a session takes a copy — editing the session's diagram never damages the original.
Annual plan
The season's content matrix laid over the period, mesocycle and microcycle bands, with a weekly panel and print output. It is the document coordinators ask for, generated from what is actually planned.
Cycles derived from the date
A session's microcycle, mesocycle and period come from its date. Changing the season's start date does not undo the markings the coach has already made.
Attendance
Marked on a phone, in the sports hall, in seconds. Each athlete's attendance rate then appears on their record and in the club overview.
Game model
Moments, principles and behaviours with their own diagrams. A team adopts a published model from the club catalogue and gets its own copy, edited without touching the original.
The details only a coach notices
A session plan is not a list of drills. It is a time budget with an intention behind it, and the tool either understands that or gets in the way constantly. These are the decisions we made in order to stay out of the way.
Minutes are summed, never stored
A phase's duration is the sum of the drills inside it. A drill without a duration counts as zero and is flagged; going over the session's volume shows as an overflow, not as a hidden negative number.
Dragging between phases is one operation
Moving a drill from the warm-up to the main phase changes both phases' minutes at once, in a single move. An empty phase still has a drop zone — otherwise there would be no way to put the first drill in it.
The team talk is not a phase
It consumes session minutes but has no diagram and no drills. Treating it as a fourth phase meant inventing properties it does not have.
A microcycle need not be a training week
Breaks happen. A microcycle can be marked as an interval, and the numbering the coach sees counts only the real weeks.
Questions about training planning
You can create them in the club library, organised in folders, with the diagram drawn in the platform's editor. From then on they are available to every coach with access, and each session takes its own copy of the drill.
Yes. The annual plan and the weekly view each have their own print output, which is the format coordinators and technical directors usually want to see them in.
Cycles and the annual plan belong to the team-season. The drill library and the game-model catalogue belong to the club, so one coach's work can serve the other age groups.
Microcycles are reconciled by week date rather than by ordinal position, deliberately. The interval markings you had already made stay on the right week instead of all sliding by one.
The session plan and attendance are attached to the session, and the session to its microcycle. That is the thread that lets you compare what the annual matrix intended with what actually happened that week.
