What the Member Portal is
Updated on 23 October 2026
The area where athletes and guardians sign in with their own account to see the athlete's call-ups, schedule, statistics, tactical plays and account.

The Member Portal is the part of Cantera built for families. The athlete, or their guardian, signs in with their own account and sees only what concerns that athlete: call-ups, schedule, statistics, tactical plays and the account. It is not a management area: whoever signs in to the Portal sees nothing else from the club.
The Portal is a module. It only works while the club has it active: without it, the "App" tab on the records shows a notice and nobody can sign in.
Who can sign in
- Athletes: see their own area.
- Guardians: see the area of each athlete they are linked to on the record. Access lasts as long as the link exists, even after the athlete turns 18.
- Members: can be invited, but the Portal has no member sections yet. Someone who is only a member signs in and sees "Nothing to see yet".
- Staff: cannot be invited. The Portal has no staff area yet.
Anyone with access to more than one athlete (two children, or athletes at different clubs) picks one under "Who do you want to see?" and can switch later; on a phone, with "Switch person" in the "More" menu.
What each section shows
- "Call-ups": the finalised call-ups for the athlete's matches, under "Upcoming" and "Past". The family answers "Will you be there?" and, when the call-up asks for it, transport and meal. They can "Change answer" until confirmations close. The answer shows on the match page, just like one sent through the email link.
- "Schedule": the trainings and matches of the active season, as a "List" or by "Month". For matches, it shows whether the athlete was called up.
- "Statistics": the athlete's attendance, minutes, goals, assists and cards in the active season, by team.
- "Tactical plays": the exercises and principles the coaches share. It only appears to those the Portal recipient allows, and never shows training load data.
- "Account": only exists if the club has the Finance module. It shows "To pay", "Upcoming charges" and "Paid". Each payment note or receipt opens, prints with "Print / PDF" and, if the club has online payments, the note can be paid from there.
Sections that need attention carry a number: call-ups awaiting an answer and overdue notes. The "Notifications" bell gathers the alerts, and on a phone the person can choose "Enable notifications on this device".
How people get in
- The club invites the person from the record or from the team page. The invite goes to the email on the record, in the person's language (or the club's), and is valid for 14 days.
- From the email link, the person sets a password (or continues with Google). If they already have a Cantera account, they just sign in.
- From then on, they use the normal Cantera sign-in. Someone with only the Portal goes straight to it; someone who also works in the club's management chooses once, on each device, where to go.
- To keep the Portal on the phone's home screen, the person picks "Install app" in the "More" menu or the account menu. Cantera installs as a single app.
What the Portal does not do
- It does not change the athlete's record, personal details or documents: the club handles those.
- It does not show other athletes, the squad, clinical or school information, or evaluations.
- It does not take attendance or touch anything about the team.
