Who receives on the Portal: the athlete, the guardian or both

On the Member Portal, each athlete has a recipient: the athlete, the guardian or both. The recipient decides who the club sends the app access invite to, and who sees, on the Portal, the tactical content shared with that athlete.

How the recipient is decided

The recipient follows this order:

  1. The choice on the athlete's profile. If someone chose "Guardian", "Athlete" or "Both", that choice applies.
  2. The team rule, for minor athletes only. It is the athlete's main team in the active season that counts.
  3. Age. A minor gets "Guardian"; an adult, or an athlete with no date of birth, gets "Athlete".

The recipient is worked out whenever it is needed; it is not stored. If the athlete turns 18, changes main team or the team's rule changes, the recipient changes on its own, unless there is a choice on the profile.

Set a team's rule

The rule saves you choosing athlete by athlete: for example, in the older age groups you can invite "Both".

  1. Open Settings › Sports and pick the "Teams" section.
  2. Select the pencil ("Edit team") next to the team you want.
  3. In the "Member Portal" part, choose the "Portal invitation": "By age", "Guardian", "Athlete" or "Both".
  4. Select "Save".

The rule belongs to the team and applies in every season. On the team page, the "Settings" tab shows it in the "Member Portal" card, read-only and only with the Portal module; "Edit in the modality" takes you to where you change it.

Choose an athlete's recipient

  1. Open the athlete's profile and go to the "App" tab.
  2. In the "Settings" card, under "Who receives the invite", choose "Guardian", "Athlete" or "Both". The choice saves straight away and "Saved" appears.
  3. To go back to the team rule or to age, choose "Automatic".

With "Automatic", the line under the field shows the value that applies and where it comes from: the athlete's age, or the rule of a named team.

What the recipient decides

  • The app invite. The access invite goes to whoever the recipient names; with "Both", the athlete and the guardians are invited. The same applies when you invite a whole team.
  • Tactical content. On the Portal, the athlete's "Tactical plays" section only shows to whoever the recipient names. With "Athlete", guardians only see it while the athlete has no account of their own.

What it does not decide

  • The other Portal sections. A guardian linked to the athlete who has app access gets into the athlete's area whatever the recipient.
  • Emails. Call-up emails follow "Call-up delivery", in the same card, chosen per season. Payment notes and receipts have their own sending rules.
  • Access already given. Changing the recipient does not take access away from anyone already using the app: a guardian who accepted the invite stays in the list on the "App" tab. Tactical content, however, follows the new recipient straight away.
