Sponsorship benefits

Benefits are what the club gives in return for a sponsorship: the logo on the kit, social media posts, tickets, a banner in the sports hall. Each benefit belongs to a sponsorship (the contract for one season) and counts how many times you have already delivered it. You need the sponsorship module.

Recording a sponsorship's benefits

  1. In Sponsors, open the sponsor and, in the "Sponsorships" tab, open that season's sponsorship.
  2. In the "Benefits" tab, select "Add benefit".
  3. Choose the "Benefit type". If it doesn't exist yet, "Create new type" asks for the name and code and creates it there and then.
  4. Enter the "Quantity": how many times the club commits to delivering it (for example, 12 posts).
  5. If you like, set the "Due date". Left empty, the contract's end date applies; if the contract has no dates of its own, the end of the season.
  6. Add "Notes" if they help, and select "Save".

Benefit types are a club catalogue: manage them in Sponsorships, in the settings, under "Benefit types".

Recording a delivery

Each time the club delivers the benefit, record a delivery:

  1. In the benefits table, open the row to see its "Deliveries".
  2. Select "Record delivery".
  3. Enter the "Delivery date" and, if you like, a "Note" and an "Evidence link": the address of the post or of a photo stored online, whatever shows the delivery was made.
  4. Select "Save".

The "Progress" column shows how many deliveries you have made against the quantity. A delivery with a link shows "View evidence". You can edit or delete each delivery; deleting the benefit also deletes its deliveries.

The statuses

The "Status" is not something you choose: it is worked out from the deliveries and the due date.

  • "Pending": no deliveries yet, still within the due date.
  • "In progress": some deliveries made, others still missing, and the due date has not passed.
  • "Fulfilled": the deliveries have reached the quantity. It stays fulfilled even if the last delivery came after the due date.
  • "Overdue": the due date has passed with deliveries still missing. The due date itself still counts: it only becomes overdue the following day.

All of the club's benefits

Benefits, in the "Sponsorship Management" group, brings together in one table the benefits of every sponsor for a "Season" (it opens on the active season), with the nearest due date first.

  • The "Overdue", "Outstanding" and "Fulfilled" boxes count the benefits in the table. Select one to filter by that status, and again to go back to all of them.
  • Filter by "Status", "Type" or "Sponsor". The boxes follow all three filters: they always count what the table shows.
  • Select a row to open the contract and record the delivery.
