Set up sponsorships: tiers and benefit types

In Settings › Sponsorships you prepare the two catalogues the rest of the module uses: sponsorship tiers, which group your sponsors (Gold, Silver and Bronze, for instance), and benefit types, what the club can promise in return. The amount doesn't live here: it is negotiated on each sponsorship.

Create a tier

1. In the "Sponsorship tiers" card, select "Add tier".
2. Fill in the "Code", a short abbreviation such as GOLD, and the "Name". Two tiers can't share the same code.
3. In "Order", set the tier's position in the list.
4. If you like, pick a "Colour". It shows next to the tier name in the sponsors list and on sponsorships.
5. Leave "Active" on and select "Save".

Create a benefit type

1. In the "Benefit types" card, select "Add type".
2. Fill in the "Code", for example POST, and the "Name", for example Social media post. Codes can't repeat here either.
3. In "Order", set the type's position in the list.
4. Leave "Active" on and select "Save".

Put them in order

Each catalogue's order is the position of its rows. To change it, drag the handle on the left of the row, or edit the row and change its "Order". You can also use the keyboard: on the handle, press Space or Enter, move with the arrow keys and press again to drop; Escape cancels. Archived rows always sit at the end and only swap places with each other.

Archive or delete

The "Actions" column of each row has "Edit" and "Delete".

• Archive: edit the row and turn "Active" off. The row shows the status "Archived" and moves to the end of the list. An archived tier or type no longer appears in new choices, but stays on the sponsorships and benefits that already use it. To use it again, turn "Active" back on.
• Delete asks for confirmation and can't be undone. It only works for a tier that no sponsorship uses, in any season or status, or a type that no benefit uses. If it is in use, the app tells you how many.
