Recording a match live with the Statistics module
Updated on 26 October 2026
With the Statistics module you record the match as it happens, on a tablet at the venue: clock, events at a tap and substitutions. At the end, the match sheet, the result and the minutes are stored.

Live recording is how you record the match while it is being played: the clock, each athlete's events and the substitutions. It opens full screen and is designed for a tablet at the venue. On a tablet in landscape, every event column fits on screen and "Recent", "On the pitch" and "Corrections" sit below the grid; they move beside it only on a wide screen. If the sport has so many event types that they do not fit, the grid scrolls sideways and the athlete's number and name stay fixed.
Choosing the match
- Open Live recording. The "Upcoming" tab lists your teams' matches in the active season for the next 7 days, grouped by age group, plus any match with a recording under way.
- Check the call-up: each match shows "Call-up finalised" or "Call-up not finalised". Recording only opens once the call-up is finalised; use "Go to call-up" to finish it.
- Select "Start recording". If you have already started, the button reads "Back to recording".
Setting the starting line-up
- "Set the starting line-up" only lists the called-up athletes. Tick the starters in the "Starter" column, up to the team's number of players on court.
- Tick the "GK", the "Captain" and, if you like, the "Vice-captain", and check the shirt numbers. All of this comes from the match preparation sheet, and whatever you change here is saved back to it when you start.
- Select "Start match".
During the match
- Clock: "Start period" starts the countdown and the match shows as in progress. "Pause" and "Stoppage" stop the clock and "Resume" starts it again. "End period" closes the period and "Next period" gets the next one ready. If you leave the screen, the clock keeps running.
- Events: a tap on the athlete's cell, in the event type's column, records it with the clock's minute. Only athletes on court receive events, apart from the event types the sport allows for substitutes, and only while a period is running or stopped.
- Substitutions: drag a substitute from "Bench" onto a starter. If there is an "Empty slot", drag them there. An athlete who has been sent off cannot come back on.
- Opponent own goal: when an opponent scores into their own net, select "Autogolo do adversário" next to the opponent on the scoreboard (the name comes from your club's event catalogue). The goal counts on our score and in the timeline, but it belongs to no player: you pick nobody, and it is not a player's goal or shot.
- Fouls: the scoreboard counts each team's fouls and warns you at the 5th.
- Corrections: a long press on a cell removes that cell's last entry; the × on a "Recent" row removes that event; "Undo last" undoes the most recent entry and "Undo substitution" undoes the last substitution.
Ending the match
Select "End match" at the end and confirm: the question shows the score, for example "End the match at 3–2?". The result comes from the goals recorded, the match is marked as finished and each athlete's minutes, as counted by the clock, are stored on the match sheet. Then "View report" opens the match report.
