Moving athletes to the next season

When a season starts, you don't need to enrol athletes one by one: open the team in the new season and bring in athletes from the squad of any team and season. The usual case is the same team in the previous season. Each athlete you pick gets a new enrolment; the one from the previous season stays as it was, with its history.

Before you start

The destination team needs a season record for the new season. If it doesn't have one yet, create it in Teams with "Add season".

Transiting the athletes

1. Open Teams, choose the new season in the "Season" selector and open the destination team.
2. In the "Squad" tab, select "Transit athletes".
3. Choose the "Modality", the "Source season" and the "Source team", in that order. Changing a step clears the ones after it.
4. The source team's squad appears. Tick the athletes who are moving up, or tick the box in the header to select them all.
5. Turn on "Copy shirt number and position" if the athletes keep their shirt number and position. With it off, they arrive in the new team with no number or position.
6. Select the "Transit N athletes" button, which shows how many athletes are ticked (for example, "Transit 12 athletes"). The final message says how many athletes were transited and how many were skipped.

If the athlete has no active enrolment in that season, the new one becomes the "Principal" one. Archived enrolments do not count.

After transiting

Open each athlete's record and, in the "Administrative" tab, fill in the new season's competition registration and contract: they belong to each season, so they start empty. The licence and the rest of the athlete's details carry over from one season to the next.
