Before you register your first club member, set up the categories and the numbering in Settings › Club members. Categories say how much each type of member pays and how often; numbering says which number new records start from.

Create a category

  1. In the "Member categories" card, select "Add".
  2. Fill in the "Name", for example Full member, and the "Code", a short abbreviation. Two categories can't share the same code.
  3. In "Order", set the category's position in lists: lower numbers come first.
  4. If you like, pick a "Colour". It shows in the categories table and in the "By category" legend on the Club members page.
  5. Under "Dues", choose the "Periodicity": "Monthly", "Quarterly", "Biannual" or "Annual". The "Dues amount" is the amount for each period, for example one month's dues in a monthly category.
  6. In "Joining fee", enter the amount charged once when someone joins, or leave it empty.
  7. Turn on "Exempt from dues" for a category that doesn't pay, such as honorary members. An exempt category generates neither dues nor a joining fee, and the table shows "Exempt" in the "Dues" column.
  8. Leave "Active" on and select "Save".

Changing a category's amount doesn't alter dues already charged: it applies to the ones you charge afterwards.

Archive or delete a category

The "Actions" column of each category has "Edit", "Archive" and "Delete".

  • "Archive" removes the category from the choices when you create a member profile or a yearly record, but keeps it on the records that already use it. The row shows the status "Archived"; "Unarchive" makes it available again.
  • "Delete" only works on a category that no yearly record uses. If it is in use, the app tells you how many member records use it and suggests archiving it instead.

Numbering

  1. In the "Numbering" card, enter the "Starting number", a whole number of 1 or greater.
  2. Select "Save".

When you create a profile, the app suggests the number after the highest one in use, but never below the starting number. For example, with a starting number of 100 and the highest member at 57, it suggests 100; if 130 already exists, it suggests 131. Changing the starting number doesn't renumber existing members.
